It was a great honour and privilege to be Captain in 2022 and to be elected President for 2024 adds to that privilege and memories I hold from my years of membership of our very progressive Club.
I look forward to working, with all other members, in such way as will support the achievement of our Clubs overall objectives.
I wish all my fellow club members a memorable golfing year together with good health and happiness in all areas of life.
We are delighted and honoured to be your Club Captains for 2024 and would like to wish all our members a very enjoyable and active golfing experience this year.
Craddockstown is situated in the ever-expanding beautiful town of Naas. We have the unique opportunity to play at a beautiful challenging parkland course. We have a vibrant Ladies, Men's and Junior's Club, and still have access to get on the course and use the Clubhouse with very few restrictions. The members own the course and have opportunities to affect how all aspects of the club operate through joining committees or offering feedback. We're a Club with full commitment to giving fair access to everybody through numerous amounts of various competitions on offer. We are also committed to protecting the environment and biodiversity as showing in 2023.
Our parkland course is in terrific condition and provides a true challenge for golfers of all skill levels. Our greenkeepers, staff, committees and volunteers continue to work together yearly for the benefit of our course and other club facilities and we commend all for their dedication.
Craddockstown is a friendly and welcoming club, and we ask all members to encourage family and friends to consider joining us for an enjoyable golf and social experience.
Those who have provided sponsorship to our club are much appreciated, and we have developed a good relationship with them, we thank them sincerely for their support.
Golf Ireland has introduced recent changes to our interclub competitions this year. Our teams will participate in these events throughout the golfing season, we wish them every success in their matches.
Craddockstown Golf Club has been accepted onto the pilot scheme for the One Club Model run by Golf Ireland. "The One Club Model framework brings together the men's and women's sections to form a single administrative structure, ensuring both games are treated fairly". We look forward to developing this model in Craddockstown Golf Club with the support of Golf Ireland.
Together, we hope that our members and visitors enjoy their experience in Craddockstown and look forward to seeing you all during 2024.
