Temp Greens are GUR

Members will notice that our course staff have cut out Temporary Greens on the course in the event that they may be needed for play in the upcoming Winter Period 2018-2019.
All members are reminded that these temporary greens are GUR from which play is prohibited by a local rule posted on the notice board at the first tee.
The logic behind such a local rule is to ensure that these obviously recognisable areas of the course are not cut up unnecessarily by members taking divots when their ball comes to rest on temporary greens.
So please remember that when a ball comes to rest on temporary greens, whether marked GUR or not, that a player MUST take relief by first determining their nearest point of relief and dropping their ball within one club of this point no nearer the hole.
If a player’s ball lies in the area of a temporary green, or if it interferes with the player’s stance or the area of his intended swing, the player must take relief under Rule 25-1.
